Hi! Sorry that I haven't posted in a while! i just wanted to show my most recent project that I found while surfing the internets the other day.
This is Emily, and she was made from the pattern "Sugar'n Cream- Back to School Lily Doll" from sugarncream.com. Besides getting a name change, she has a different T-shirt colour and I nixed the sleeves on the jacket because I simply thought that a vest would look better. In fact, here is what the original pattern intended on looking like:
This just goes to show that you can truly make a project original just by making a few minor changes, while still sticking to the pattern!
If you would like to use the pattern, here is the link: http://www.sugarncream.com/pattern.php?PID=5417 (Free registration on the site is required, and there is plenty of other free patterns as well :D).
Happy crafting!

Rapunzel (Free amigurumi crochet pattern)
Here it is: my first pattern! Rapunzel is 4.5 inches tall (including the hat) and would make an excellent gift for the little princess in your life! Since she is done on an incredibly small scale, you may want to use a slightly larger hook than I did. Have fun with this pattern!
Materials:
Size 3.5mm hook
Worsted weight yarn in pink, purple, white, and yellow
6mm safety eyes (embroider eyes instead if giving to a child under the age of 3)
Polyester fibrefill
Small amount of red embroidery floss (Black as well if you are embroidering eyes)
NOTE: All of my patterns are worked in a continuous spiral without joining. To keep track of where your rows begin and end, use a marker such as a small safety pin.
Legs (make 2)
1: With purple, ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6)
2: sc in each st around. Change colour to white. (6)

With purple, join legs together at top with sl st.

Hair
What's Rapunzel without all that beautiful hair? Wrap yellow yarn around an object about 8 inches long (for example: a book or a piece of cardboard) 30 times or so. cut it down the middle on one side so that you have a bunch of long strands, twice the length of your object. Separate these strands into 3 or 4 sections and tie the strands together. Sew the sections onto the head, and braid the hair or leave it down. It's up to you!
Hat
1: With pink, ch 2, 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (4)
2-3: sc in each st around. (4)
4: 2 sc in each st around. (8)
5-6: as rnd 2 (8)
7: (1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around (12)
8-9: as rnd 2 (12)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff and sew to head. For the tassel coming off the hat, just make a cord of chain stitches and sew it to the op in the middle of the cord
Congratulations! You are finished!

*SMILEY FACE*
Hi, Welcome to my new blog, where I'll be posting all kinds of amigurumi crochet patterns just for you! Amigurumi is basically a Japanese crocheted toy, Ami for short. Coincidentally, the word "ami" is also French for "friend", so I hope that you will be making lots of little "friends " in the future!
